| More Info | Will you heed the call of a woman beckoning to you, arm outstretched, with an invitation of joining her on a writing retreat in the forest*?
The wisdom that will guide us as we begin the journey of writing our own memoirs will be none other than Ms. Pamela Des Barres … she who was often photographed draped on the arms of Mick, Keith & Jimmy … the venerable ’60′s icon and author of “I’m With the Band”, “Let’s Spend the Night T…ogether” and “Take Another Little Piece of My Heart”, as well as writer for Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, Playboy, etc. And what’s required of you? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This is the weekend that you will just ‘be’. ‘Be’ as you embark on the journey of putting pen to paper and writing your own history as you lived it. Just ‘be’ … that’s all. The place chosen is found nestled in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada in the nearly forgotten goldmining town called Downieville. Beautiful cabins are found along the wild Yuba river and this is where we will call home for two evenings as we write, by moonlight & firelight, our memoirs. Everything is thought out to create our two mystical nights of writing our own myths and recognizing the woman of who we are in our lives … and celebrating the goddess of who we are in others. The cost is $260 for the entire weekend. *A fully appointed cabin (rate based on 4 women/per) Sat. March 26th … Depart Sacramento at 11:00am and arrive in Downieville by 1:00pm. Sun. March 27 … Guided tour in afternoon (providing we have a docent). Free time until 2nd workshop at 7:30 pm (we can all enjoy dinner together) |
