Greetings Dolls!
Aaaahhhhhh, my stellar new website is ready to rock & roll! I will be BLOGGING (I am going to come up with my own version of that word soon) on a regular basis, so please check in frequently to find out what’s going on in my groovy corner of the Universe.

I have just turned in my 70 page treatment for Book Number Five: Blinded By the Light ~ Confessions of a Gurupie, to my awesome agent, Peter McGuigan at Foundry Literary + Media. The new book is really the third in my life trilogy, this one focusing mainly on my lifelong spiritual search. I made up a word, GURUPIE (a follower of masters, saints and gurus) which I hope will join the other word that I helped coin back in the 60s – GROUPIE.

Speaking of. . .My last book, “Let’s Spend the Night Together ~ Backstage Secrets of Rock Muses & Supergroupies,” will soon be on a big screen near you! Actually, we are in the very early stages with it. I am partnering with VH1, Creature Films and Gala Films in Canada. I am finally going to be able to give glorious groupies their due! Yay! Many of the girls in the book, Patti D’Arbanville, Dee Dee Keel, Cynthia Plaster Caster, Tura Satana, Cherry Vanilla, et al will be featured in this No Holds Des Barred look at that forever phenomenon.

Last Saturday, along with my pal and kick ass driver, Kip Brown, I held my 6th Rock Tour of Hollywood and Laurel Canyon, taking 10 rabid rock fans around in a big ol’ van to many of the sites featured in my first book. It was a rowdy bunch along for this wild ride, stopping at the Zappa cabin site, Jim Morrison’s pad, Chris Hillman’s former pad, my old apartment where I served tea to Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, and the WHisky a Go Go, where we all got to wander around in the gloom while a young rock band soundchecked. The tour takes all afternoon, and I was so damn tired, I fell asleep for 10 and a half hours that night. A lot of emoting goes on, a lot of fond memories and hilarity…My next Rock Tour will be Sunday, July 12. . .join us!!!

My darling son Nick, has been in town from Tokyo, where he has lived for the last 4 years. His divine daddy, Michael Des Barres recently sent us packing to Disney World for 5 days, a place we have always wanted to go. . . we did have a ball, but there were torrential downpours every day. (See photos!) I have always harbored a naughty fancy for Mickey Mouse. Call me crazy. . . I refuse to acknowledge that Walt Disney was a right winger, with that exquisite imagination, how is it possible?

My high school life-changer, artist Victor Haydon, (Beefheart’s cousin, The Mascara Snake) has also been in town for a couple of weeks from Seattle. I have had quite a profound full house lately. Never a dull moment for this old hippie girl. Actually I am a flower child…a FC who now Twitters! Or is that Tweets? Please follow me for daily mini-updates! @pameladesbarres.Dolls, I will be answering your emails, offering advice, suggestions in love, romance, sex and groupie-dom, so please let me hear from you! I am coming up with a line of Band t-shirts, so keep checking here, and this is just the beginning of many long and joyous relationships, I am sure!

More to come soon…

Lovelovelove,
Miss P
